Furnace fuel oil consumption in Iran's plants reaches 1 billion liters per month

The furnace fuel oil consumption in Iran's power plants has increased to 39 million liters, while the gas consumption in the country's plant reduced by 23 percent to 128 million cubic meters per day in May, SHANA reported quoting the National Iranian Oil Product Distribution's statistics.

The overall furnace fuel oil consumption in Iran's power plants reached to 1 billion liters in May.

The National Iranian Oil Products Distribution provides liquid fuel for 65 power plants, the country's power plants feed from two types of liquid fuel oil-gas and furnace fuel oil.

It's predicted that total oil, oil gas and furnace fuel oil consumption in Iran's plants would reach to up 200 million liters per day by the end of June.
