The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has completed the renovation of the catalytic reforming unit No. 31 and coking facility at the Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev, SOCAR reported on Wednesday.
During the repair work, air coolers and heat exchangers in the cooling system at the catalytic reforming unit were cleaned. Also, new heat exchangers were added to the system with a view to heat the gas upon BP's request. Installation now produces a volume of 100 cubic meters per hour.
A coking facility was also repaired at the refinery. Currently, the installation is operating normally and produces 75-80 tons.
SOCAR has two oil refineries in Azerbaijan.
