Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Ghasemi will visit Pakistan later this week, the Minister himself told reporters, Iranian Oil Ministry's official website Neftnews reported.
He said that during the visit, discussions will focus on the transfer and transit of Iranian gas to Pakistan.
The Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, also known as the Peace pipeline, is a proposed pipeline to deliver natural gas from Iran to Pakistan and India. The pipeline will connect Iran's giant South Fars gas field with Pakistan's southern Baluchistan and Sindh provinces. Dubbed the "peace pipeline," the project has been planned since the 1990s and originally would have extended from Pakistan to its old rival, India.
