Azerbaijan, Baku, September 1/Trend/

Iran 's electricity export increases by 25 percent to neighboring countries to 3,313 Giga Watt per hour in the past five months, ILNA reported

By implementing subsidy cuts, the country's domestic power consumption was remarkably reduced, creating good conditions to increase electricity export to neighbors.

Iran currently traded electricity with Armenia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Nakhjavan ,Turkey, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Iran 's Energy Minister Majid Namjou earlier said that Iran's power plant capacities increased to 51,33 mega watt, a 3,61 mega watt increase from last year (solar year, which ended on March 20, 2011).
