Iran to discuss gas price in next GECF meeting

Iran 's representative will discuss stabilizing oil and gas prices during an upcoming meeting of Gas Exporting Countries Forum ( GECF) in Doha, Mehr News Agency reported, quoting Mohammad Ali Khatibi as saying.

"Balancing oil and gas prices is one of the important issues during the coming Gas Exporting Countries Forum ( GECF) meeting," he said.

The recent events in the global market will be discussed during the meeting, and gas exporting countries should attract more new investments and development of gas projects, he added.

He noted that by investing in gas projects in the upcoming years we will witness increases in gas production that fulfills global demands.

The ministerial meeting of GECF begins on November 13 and15 in Doha Qatar. The Gas Exporting Countries Forum includes 11 members and 3 observers which produce 42 percent of the world's gas consumption.
