Iran signed long-term contracts with Turkey, Spain, and Italy to increase oil exports to these countries, the Mehr News Agency reported on Wednesday, quoting Deputy Managing Director for International Affairs of the Iranian National Oil Company Mohsen Ghamsari as saying.

Iranian oil exports to Turkey, Italy, and Spain has increased.

"Iran exports 6-7 million tons to Turkey annually. This figure has been increasing given the stable situation in the Turkish market," he said.

Ghamsadi stated that Russia and Saudi Arabia are Iran's major rivals in Europe and Turkey's oil markets.

Iran took first place from among oil export countries for exports to Turkey, having supplied 1.3 million tons of oil in July.

Iran exports 100,000 barrels of oil to Spain and 150,000 to Italy daily.
