In the near future, SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) will begin three-dimensional geophysical studies on the onshore fields Zig-Hovsani developed by Absheron Operating Company Limited, a source in SOCAR said on Friday.
According to source, preparation is conducted to start working.
"Now preparation is conducted for 3D-investigations on Guru Deniz section," said the source.
The participants of PSA to develop a block of onshore fields Zig-Hovsani are SOCAR (25 percent) and Global Invest (75 percent).
Zig-Hovsani fields are located in the southern part of the Apsheron Peninsula. Zig field was discovered in 1935, and Hovsani - in 1948.
