Iran calls OPEC to maintain output ceiling

At the next meeting of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), to be held in Vienna in December, Iran will negotiate with member states to keep the current output unchanged, Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Ghasemi said.

Iran produced 3.597 million barrels of crude oil per day in September, which accounts for 12 percent of OPEC output and makes it the second leading producer of OPEC.

OPEC's output totaled 29.896 million barrels per day in September.

Saudi Arabia produced 9.586 million barrels of oil per day in September, making it OPEC's leading producer, which accounts for 31 percent of total OPEC output.
