Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 11 / Trend E. Ismayilov /

Azerbaijan is ready to supply electric power to Hungary through the Black Sea ring energy, a protocol signed after a meeting of Azerbaijani-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission in Baku today said.

This proposal was made taking into account the Energy Bridge Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey, the document says.

By the end of 2011, Azerenergy JSC will complete reconstruction of high-voltage transmission lines from Mingachevir to Azerbaijan's border with Georgia.
From May 2012, it will be technically possible to export electricity from Azerbaijan to Georgia and Turkey.

Last year, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey signed a memorandum of understanding on the project Power Bridge. A joint project was carried out in three countries, which was mainly funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

USAID and the Association of Energy jointly provided technical assistance.
Jointly with Azerenergy, "State Power System of Georgia" and "TETAS" developed a regional model of networks of high voltage.
