Oil and gas companies of the State Concern Turkmenneft produced 4.496 million tons of oil and 9.95 billion cubic meters of gas in January to October, 2011, the Neytralniy Turkmenistan daily reported.
Oil supplies to consumers have increased over 10 months, while gas supplies have also rose significantly, including to Iran by the first Turkmen transnational gas pipeline Korpeje - Gurtguyi.
Turkmenneft commissioned 48 new oil and gas wells.
At the moment highly efficient equipment is being applied, active international cooperation is implemented with leading companies, and modern technology is used.
One of the departments of state concern Nebitdagnefti, which produces hydrocarbons in the fields Nebitdag and Barsagelmes in the Balkan region, particularly differed.
Both fields are in their late-stage operation. Oil extraction was launched from the Barsagelmese in late 1950s, and from the field Nebitdag in the late 1930s.
As much as 878,775 tons of oil was produced from Nebitdag during 10 months of the year.
