Azerenergy (Azerbaijan's major electricity producer) received about 3.43 billion cubic meters of gas in January-October 2011 to use as fuel compared to 3.21 billion cubic meters in January-October 2010, SOCAR, which supplies gas to Azerenergy, said.
Azerenergy received 345.9 million cubic meters of gas in October compared to 323.6 million cubic meters in October 2010.
Azerenergy received about 4 billion cubic meters of gas in 2010 compared to 4.32 billion cubic meters in 2009. In 2008, Azerenergy received 4.95 billion cubic meters compared to 3.4 billion cubic meters in 2007.
