BP exceeds annual plan of bypass gas transfer

In January-September 2011, British Petroleum, which is the operator of the block of fields Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) in the Azerbaijani national sector of the Caspian, passed 2.8 billion cubic meters of bypass gas to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), BP stated in January-September Report released at its Website on Wednesday.

Under the forecast, in 2011 BP should have passed a total of 2.3 billion cubic meters of bypass gas from the ACG to the SOCAR.

BP passes bypass gas from the ACG to the SOCAR free-of-charge.

According to the report, daily volume of the bypass gas transferred to the SOCAR in January-September was 10.4 million cubic meters.

In 2010 and in 2009 BP gave the SOCAR 3.4 billion cubic meters and some 4 billion cubic meters, respectively, under the respective forecasts of 1.9 billion cubic meters and 1.45 billion cubic meters of bypass gas.
