Kazakhstan, Astana, Nov.24 / Trend, K. Konyrova /

Ukraine is interested in refining the Kazakh oil, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said in an interview with Trend.

"Ukraine is interested in refining the Kazakh oil instead of buying gasoline from abroad, including from Rompetrol, which is owned by the Kazakh national company," Azarov said.
He said Kazakhstan could enter the European market not only from Romania, buying an oil refinery there, but by entering the Ukrainian market.

"In particular, Kazakhstan could enter the Ukrainian market by operating one of our oil refineries or constricting a joint plant.

We offered Kazakhstan to build a new up-to-date plant under the Caspian Sea oil. This is a very promising thing," he stressed.

He said Ukraine also offers Kazakhstan to join the project of the construction of a LNG terminal in Ukraine.

"And we are ready to provide territory in our deep-water ports for such purposes in order to supply the Kazakh gas in liquefied form via Ukraine to the world markets," Azarov said.

He said these terminals are already built in the world, and constructing such a terminal on the Black Sea coast - "of course, is very attractive and promising task for countries rich in gas and oil".
