KazMunaiGas to increase network of petrol stations in Moldova

Rompetrol Moldova, affiliated to the Kazakh national oil and gas company KazMunaiGas (KMG) will launch six new petrol stations in Moldova in late November, KMG reported on Thursday.

"Thus, the network of Rompetrol's petrol stations in Moldova will reach 43 units," the report said.

According to the company, the new petrol stations are an integral part of the strategy on Rompetrol's fuel filling station development in Moldova, launched in 2010.

"New stations are located in the country's capital (Chisinau), as well as Cupcini (in the north, 198 kilometers from Chisinau) and Soldanesti (north-east, 110 kilometers from Chisinau)" the report said.

Rompetrol Moldova is the affiliated company of The Rompetrol Group, owned by the Kazakh "KazMunaiGas" since 2007.

The Rompetrol Group petrol stations network exceeds 1,000 units in Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Georgia, France, Spain and Ukraine. From 2012 the company intends to begin retail sales in Turkey.
