The WB has extended the transmission line rehabilitation project term in Azerbaijan for four months, the WB Baku office told Trend today.
"The project is planned to be completed in April 2012 as it is necessary to test the system and complete the commissioning," the office said. "It was supposed to be completed by late 2011."
The WB allocated $48 million at a total cost of $55.4 million to implement the project. The government delivered $7.4 million to finance the project. As of September 2011, the bank granted $48 million. About $42.6 million was spent.
