The Government of Georgia is announcing a poll of interests for the construction and operation of a series of Namakhvani hydro power plants, the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry of Georgia told Trend on Friday.
As previously reported, the plant's designed production capacity is 450 megawatts with an average yearly production of 1,600 gigawatts per hour and the approximate value is $850 million in investments.
As indicated by the feasibility study developed by international companies, the project is viable from both the ecological and social environment impact and the technical economic side.
