Oil import in OECD countres decreases

The import of oil in OECD (Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development) countries decreased by 1.1 million barrels per day to 23.03 million barrels per day in the second quarter of 2011 compared to 24.13 million barrels per day during the same period of 2010. These figures are contained in EIA's (Energy Information Administration) International Energy Statistics.

Oil import in OECD Europe amounted to 9.42 million barrels per day in the second quarter of 2011 compared to 9.41 million barrels per day during the same period of 2010.

In the first quarter of 2011 import of oil in OECD countries amounted to 23.58 million barrels per day.

In the second quarter of 2011 oil consumption OECD countries amounted to 44.785 million barrels per day compared to 45.605 million barrels per day during the same period of 2010 and to 46.433 million barrels per day in the first quarter of 2011.
