KazTransOil increase oil transportation by 1.65 million tons

The volume of oil transportation through KazTransOil's main oil pipelines increased by roughly 1.065 million tons in January to October, 2011 compared to the same period of 2010 to 45.085 million tons (4 percent increase), KazTransOil reported.

The cargo turnover through the main oil pipelines increased by 500 million tons in January to October compared to the same index of 2010 and was 28.88 billion tons per km.

The volume of oil transportation through Uzen-Atyrau-Samara oil pipeline's Atyrau-Samara sector increased to 12.844 million tons in this period compared to 12.66 million tons in the first ten months of 2010.

Transportation of hydrocarbons in the direction of China through Atasu-Alashankou oil pipeline reached 9, 354 million tons in January to October 2011 and exceeded the index of the same period of 2010 by 957,000 tons, or by 11 percent.

Transportation of Russian oil through the section of TON-2 oil pipeline, located on the territory of Kazakhstan increased by 131,000 tons or by 3 percent to 4.72 million tones.

The volumes of oil transportation via the main pipelines to refineries also increased compared to last year. The volume of oil transportation to the oil refinery amounted to roughly 10.86 million tons in January to October. Oil supplies to the Atyrau refinery increased by 11 percent to 3.465 million tons and to PetroKazakhstan Oil Productsrose by 6 percent to 3.77 million ton.

KazTransOil is Kazakh National Oil Transportation Company. It keeps the interests of the State on the issues of oil transportation, export and import of oil and oil products.
