An integrated refining complex will be built at Kazakh oil refinery in Atyrau, Kazinform reported.

A contract on its construction was signed between Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP and Consortium of Sinopec Engineering, Marubeni Corporation and KazStroyServis.

"Construction of the integrated refining complex will sharply increase oil processing depth - up to 85 percent and will allow producing motor fuel which meets Euro 5 standards," Atyrau oil refinery's General Director Talgat Baitaziyev said.

The facility will be built under the State Program on Forced Industrial-Innovative Development of Kazakhstan. Its planned capacity is 2.4 million tons per year. The project's cost is $1.67 billion. The facility is planned to be built in 41 months.
