Turkmenistan should increase its share of oil refining products in the total export of energy resources, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov said.

"It is necessary to speed up work on increase of share raw material refinement production in structure of export of fuel and energy resources of Turkmenistan," Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov said earlier at a meeting of the cabinet of ministers dealing with summarizing 2011, the official Turkmen mass media reported on Saturday.

The president said Turkmenistan should introduce widely modern international experience in searching and prospecting pools of oil, gas and other hydrocarbons and in refining, transporting and placing hydrocarbon raw material.

It is also necessary to start construction of gas-compressor plant in Malai field, gas dewatering plant in Dovletabat as well as plant producing caustic soda, chlorine and chlorinated products in Uzboy village, Berdymuhamedov said.

The president also said it is necessary to continue construction of East-West gas-main pipeline, carbamide plant in Mary and mine concentrating mill for production of potash fertilizers in Koytendag district as well as development of Galkynysh (Southern Yoloten) gas field.
