Russian state holding Rosgeologiya, which bring together Russian exploration assets, and Kazakh National Geology Exploration Company Kazgeologiya signed a cooperation agreement on exploration in the territories of the both countries, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported referring to the Russian company.
The agreement also envisages the cooperation in research sphere, development of new techniques and technologies, a possibility of joint programs and projects implementation, exchange of geological information and joint conferences and forums.
Rosgeologiya was created in July, 2011 following Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's order. The holding will bring together 37 state geological enterprises operating in Russia.
Kazakh State enterprise Kazgeologiya was created in June, 2011. Its activity is aimed at exploration of Kazakh fields and ensuring Kazakhstan's economic and geopolitical interests in Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea.
