Iran working on four South Pars sea platforms

Вy late summer, Iran will have four drilling platforms operating in phases 22 to 24 of its South Pars gas and oil field in the Persian Gulf, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports.

Operations to install the jackets (legs) for the first of four sea platforms are underway and work on the on shore refinery for South Pars Phases 22 to 24 is 57 percent complete.

Phases 22 to 24 will have 38 wells for oil extraction. Drilling on the first well is past a thousand meters.

The three phases of South Pars are projected to produce 50 million cubic meters of sweetened gas a day, 75 thousand barrels of gas condensates and 105 million tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
