Azerbaijan, Baku, March 12 / Trend E. Ismayilov /

Azerbaijan exported 39 million tons of oil in 2011, the governmental report as of 2011, submitted to the parliament said.

According to the report, about 25.6 million tons (71 percent) of the total volume of sold oil extracted by consortiums developing a block of offshore oil and gas fields "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" (ACG) and gas-condensate "Shah Deniz" field fall to Azerbaijan.

About 45.6 million tons of oil were extracted in the country in 2011 compared to 50.84 million tons in 2010. Last year, Azerbaijan extracted 25.7 billion cubic meters compared to 26.3 billion in 2010. The decline in production volumes is stipulated by large volume of operations carried out to increase security measures on offshore platforms and underwater communications in the ACG fields.

About 8.4 million tons of oil and 7 billion cubic meters of gas of the total volume of oil and gas extracted in the country last year fell to SOCAR.

Moreover, the company also received 5.4 billion cubic meters of gas from ACG and "Shah Deniz" fields. About 8 billion cubic meters (529.6 million manat in monetary terms) of the total volume of gas extracted and received by SOCAR were sold on the domestic market, and 2.3 billion cubic meters (467.7 million manat in monetary terms) were exported.
