On March 27, Astana will host a second Kazakh-British forum on development of partnership of suppliers in the service sector of oil and has industry, the Kazakh Industry and New Technologies Ministry's statement said on Monday.

The organizer of the upcoming forum from the Kazakh side is the National Agency for the development of local content "NADLoC" of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan. From the British side the organizer is the Department of Trade and Investment of Great Britain (UKTI) with the participation of companies "Shell Kazakhstan" and "BG Kazakhstan".

The Kazakh-British Forum aims at assisting domestic producers in establishing cooperation, exchange of experience, expansion and creation of new industries.

According to the ministry, more than 80 British companies are ready to find new business partners among Kazakh producers and will offer their technology and resources in the following areas: construction of a geological model of field; project management services and engineering works, manufacturing of modular design, production and layout of equipment, spare parts and auxiliary equipment.

The first such forum was held in Aberdeen (UK) in September, 2011. About a hundred British companies and twenty-three companies of Kazakhstan attended the forum. The Kazakh delegation included at that time heads of Kazakhstan's leading companies of servicing sector of oil and gas industry, headed by the deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Nurlan Sauranbayev and chairman of the National Agency for the development of local content NADLoS Dauren Abdyhamitov.
