The Kazakh Oil and Gas Ministry has no plans to acquire oil refineries in Belarus, the Ministry's spokesman Abzal Nurkasymov wrote Trend in e-mail.

"The Oil and Gas Ministry has no plans on this issue," Nurkasymov said.

Moreover, Kazakhstan has no plans to acquire oil refineries in any other countries, Nurkasymov said.

On March 28 Kazakh Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Belarus Ergali Bulegenov spoke about Kazakhstan's plans to take part in the privatization of Belarusian oil refineries, BelTA reported.

"Kazakhstan is deeply interested in privatization of large facilities in Belarus. This issue merits careful consideration. We are interested in purchasing a stake in the Belarusian oil refineries with high processing depth to produce a high-quality product and sell it to the West," Bulegenov said at the press conference.
