Kazakhstan’s gas export decreases in January-March

The volume of gas exports in Kazakhstan amounted to 2.666 billion cubic meters in January-March, 2012, compared to 3.625 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011, a source at the national dispatching department of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan told Trend.

In March, 2012, gas exports in the country amounted to 939 million cubic meters compared to 1.472 billion cubic meters in March last year. Thus, in March, 2012, exports of gas in the country amounted to 26.7 percent under production of 3.507 billion cubic meters.

Imports of gas in the country in January-March, 2012 amounted to 738 million cubic meters compared to 2.259 billion during the same period of 2011. In March 2012, imports of natural gas in the country amounted to 281 million cubic meters, which is 26.6 percent more than the previous month and 2.4 percent less than in March, 2011.
