In Jan.-Feb., Azerbaijan imported about 9,798 cars, or 36.9 percent more than in Jan.-Feb. 2011, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend on Friday.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the total cost of passenger cars imported in Jan.-Feb. amounted to $89 million, which is 37.3 percent more than in Jan.-Feb. 2011.
In Jan.-Feb., Azerbaijan imported 1,135 trucks, which is 112.1 percent more than in Jan.-Feb. 2011. The total cost of imported cars hit $26.8 million or 166.6 percent more than in Jan.-Feb. 2011.
In Jan.-Feb. the country imported 238 buses, which is 90.4 percent more than in Jan.-Feb. 2011. In Jan.-Feb. buses were imported to the amount of $13.26 million, which is 161.5 percent more than in the same period of 2011.
