Azerkimya Production Unit (production of chemical products) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 16,400 tons of propylene in January-May, which is 51.2 percent more compared to the same period of 2011, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said on Monday.
An increase was observed in all basic chemical products produced by Azerkimya in January-May.

Thus, about 14,600 tons of solid polyethylene pipes, tubes and hoses were produced in January-May. It is 5.1 times more compared to the same period of 2011. Some 259 tons of porous polyurethane plates and strips were produced in the republic. It is by 254.8 percent more compared to the same period of 2011.
