SOCAR is prepared to restore Azerbaijani gas exports to Georgia at any time, a source at SOCAR told Trend on Thursday.

Gas supply to Georgia, was suspended in May.

"Gas supply can be restored at any time. The Georgian side is temporarily stopped receiving gas due to low demand and SOCAR will resume gas supplies to Georgia with the advent of the need, upon request," the source said.

SOCAR supplies its own gas to Georgia in the framework of the participation in Georgian market through a pipeline linking the two countries in the Gazakh region of Azerbaijan. Power flow of gas through this pipeline is about three billion cubic meters of gas per year.

The Company operates gas distribution networks covering different regions of Georgia through SOCAR Georgia Gas.
