Azerkimya Production Unit (production of chemical products) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 46,6 thousand tons of polyethylene during the first half of the year, which is 4.7 percent more compared to the same period of 2011, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said on Monday.
An increase was observed in all basic chemical products produced by Azerkimya during the first half of the year.

Thus, 15.65 thousand tons of solid polyethylene pipes, tubes and hoses were produced in January-June. It is 4.7 percent more compared to the same period of last year. Some 281 tons of porous polyurethane plates and strips were produced in the republic. It is 3.3 percent more compared to the same period of last year.
