The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has carried out structural changes in the Integrated Drilling Trust, SOCAR said.
In particular, the Khazar offshore exploration drilling department was divided and transferred to Oil Rocks and Sahil offshore drilling department. Also, Gobustan exploratory drilling Department was transferred to Absheron drilling department as a drilling shop.
Structural changes were made to optimize the costs of the Trust.
Human Resources Department has been entrusted to provide with the work, both in the trust, and in the other divisions of SOCAR, employees who have remained out of job after the structural changes.
According to the report, SOCAR has enough seats to be filled, in particular, about 600 vacancies in Azerigas, which is part of the company. Most of the laid-off staff will be brought to this area. On the other hand, the natural personnel turnover in SOCAR each month varies in the range of 400-500 people. This suggests a real opportunity to offer work to laid-off, specialized and professional personnel within one to two months.
