Trust Neftegazstroy of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) for the first time started the use of technology of automatic and semi-automatic welding for laying gas pipelines, SOCAR said.
The technology was used for the first time during installing a 500-millimeter high-pressure pipeline Dashgil-Kenizdag, the statement said. The length of the new pipeline will be 16 kilometers.
"The widespread use of this method in the construction of other facilities is expected in the future," the statement said.
SOCAR includes production association Azneft (companies producing oil and gas on land and sea), Production Association Azerkimya (chemical industry), production association Azerigas (gas distribution).
