Natural gas prices up in Kazakhstan

Natural gas prices increased in Kazakhstan in August compared to July, the Kazakh Statistics Agency said today.

"Last month, the increase in oil prices was observed at 6.3 per cent, diesel fuel - by 2.7 percent, natural gas - 1.7 per cent, coal - by 1.3 percent," the statement said.

The prices on liquefied propane and butane decreased by 9.1 per cent, petrol - by 3.1 percent, fuel oil - by 2.7 per cent, metal ores - by 2.1 per cent," a statement said.

The prices on unwrought zinc increased this month by 15.5 percent, lead - by 10.5 per cent, ferrous metals - by 3.1 per cent, precious metals - by 0.3 per cent. The prices on ferroalloys reduced by 4.5 per cent, copper - by 3.7 per cent, aluminum - by 1.6 per cent.

Wheat flour price increased by 12.3 per cent, rye - by 4.5 per cent, sugar - by 3.5 per cent, pasta - 2.9 per cent, cereals - by 2.7 per cent, fish - by 1.4 per cent, poultry - 1 per cent.

In general, prices in the mining industry increased by 4.4 percent, manufacturing - by 0.4 percent. Manufactured products increased in price by 3.1 per cent, production services - by 0.9 per cent.
