SOCAR's Geophysics and Geology Management has completed the processing and interpretation of 3D seismic data from the area in which it is planned to build a new complex for processing of oil and gas and petrochemicals (OGPC), the department said.
According to the report geology sites of tectonic faults, their amplitude and direction are defined as a result of processing and interpretation of the data.
The complex includes the construction a petrochemical company, a refinery with a capacity of ten million tons per year, as well as gas processing plant with capacity of 10 billion cubic meters per year.
The complex will be located on 1,500 hectares 60 kilometers from Baku. The entire OGPC complex is scheduled to open by the end of 2020.
