The annual symposium of the World Nuclear Association, dedicated to the return of the world's nuclear energy position as a large part of the business world, opened in London.
The symposium, which will last three days, is attended by a delegation of Kazakhstan's national atomic company Kazatomprom led by the Chairman of the Board Vladimir Shkolnik, the company said on Wednesday.
During the event, leaders of the largest enterprises of the nuclear industry will discuss the development of related industries, trends in the development of the nuclear fuel cycle, the economic aspects of nuclear companies. Individual sessions are devoted to security and public perception of nuclear power.
The symposium is also attended by representatives of the companies included in the Kazatomprom - Ulbin Metallurgical Plant, Mining Company.
Shkolnik is expected to meet with a member of British House of Lords, Peter Fraser, to discuss cooperation in the development of advanced technologies in the field of safe management of industrial wastes, including radioactive.
