Contract will be signed in the short run in framework of the project on development of Shemen offshore perspective structure in Israel, in which Azerbaijani Caspian Drilling Company Ltd will be involved as an operator, high-rank SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) representative reported to Trend on Thursday.
In his words, drilling will start on this structure late in October.
The project is the first with participation of Azerbaijani company as an operator on exploration and development of perspective structures abroad.
Last year in framework of CDC project Israeli ACC Holdings International and B"H Shemen Oil and Gas exploration "2010" Ltd (ACC Group) signed an agreement on basic principles.
CDC participates in all sea PSA projects in Azerbaijan, as well as in opening of condensate field "Shakh Deniz" in the Azerbaijani sector of Caspian Sea, where the company took part as a main contractor of project operator- BP Azerbaijan. The company has extensive experience in drilling in offshore fields, is actively involved in drilling on the block of Azerbaijani oil-gas fields Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and Shakhdeniz field.
