New high-tech park is being constructed in the city of Sumgayit in the framework of alternative and renewable source development, the chief of staff of Azerbaijani Ministry of Industry and Energy Rasim Mammadov told journalists.
"The new park is planned to consist of 15 centres that will carry out high-tech production," Mammadov said.
He said these establishments will produce solar panels, transformers, LED lamps and other products in the field of alternative energy in particular.
"This is just one of the alternative energy development directions in the country," Mammadov stated.
