Problems with electricity in Azerbaijan observed since morning, have not affected facilities of BP, which is operator of major oil and gas projects in Azerbaijan, as well as offshore platforms, as the company has its energy generating facilities, BP company told Trend on Friday.

Problems with electricity supply in most districts of Baku and regions of Azerbaijan slightly affected work of processing enterprises of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), located in the capital, SOCAR told Trend on Friday.

As SOCAR said, despite the short-term problems, at present all the processing enterprises (oil refineries and gas processing plant) operate in normal mode.

According to SOCAR, there were no problems in power supply on SOCAR platforms in the Caspian Sea, in particular, on "Oil Rocks" and the shallow part of "Guneshli" field.

"Here power supply is carried out by own resources and generation facilities," SOCAR said.
SOCAR includes production association Azneft (companies producing oil and gas on land and sea), Production Association Azerkimya (chemical industry), production association Azerigas (gas distribution).
