Gas transit through Kazakhstan increases in January-August

Gas transit through Kazakhstan amounted to 52.925 billion cubic meters in January-August, 2012 compared to 52.407 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011, the Central Dispatching Department of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.

In August, 2012 gas transit through the country was carried out to the amount of 6.553 billion cubic meters compared to 6.567 billion in July and 5.862 billion cubic meters in August, 2011.

Some 7.318 billion cubic meters of the total volume of gas transit through Kazakhstan in January-August, 2012 accounted for Central Asian gas compared to 9.972 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011.

In August, 2012 the Central Asian gas was transported through the country to the amount of 0.931 billion cubic meters compared to 0.978 billion in August, 2011.
