The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported over 1.43 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in January-September compared to about 1.46 million tons in January-September 2011, SOCAR said on Tuesday.
SOCAR exported 159,600 tons of oil from Novorossiysk in September compared to about 210,000 tons in September 2011.
In 2011, SOCAR exported 1.99 million tons of oil via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline compared to 2.24 million tons in 2010.
SOCAR exported 2.5 million tons in 2009. In 2008, SOCAR exported 1.2 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk compared to 1.2 million tons of oil in 2007, which is the same in 2006. In 2005, the figure was 1.6 million tons.
SOCAR transships its own oil, as well as oil of joint ventures and operating companies functioning in Azerbaijan's onshore fields via Novorossiysk.
Until late 2007, AIOC was the operator of Baku-Novorossiysk. The structure then transferred these functions to SOCAR.
