"Azerenegy" company has changed the schedule of planned maintenance of power stations within the preparation for the autumn-winter season, head of "Azerenergy" company (production and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijan) Etibar Pirverdiyev told media on Saturday.

He said that earlier the load of the system was high in the winter system and low in summer.

This created an opportunity for repairing all electric power stations. But there is a process in Azerbaijan that is already happening in neighboring countries. The load of the country's energy system was high in winter and summer. This is connected with the significant increase in the level of energy consumption, as opposed to the previous years.

"The load of the system was high this summer and we have changed some plans," he added. "In particular, the repair operations at some stations were conducted rapidly, while others in September-October."

But in general, all operations are conducted in a planned manner within the preparation for winter.

The company will provide consumers with uninterrupted and quality power in winter, he said.
The capacity of the power stations owned by "Azerenergy" company exceeds 6,000 megawatts. The company has more than 200 substations with a capacity of 500, 330, 220 and 110 kV, as well as six hydroelectric power stations and 13 thermoelectric power stations.
