Siemens has finalized a deal for manufacturing three sets of compressor for Iran's Zanjan Petrochemical Company, the Pana News Agency reported on Sunday.
Zanjan petrochemical unit has the capacity to produce one million tons of urea and 670,000 tons of ammonia.
Iran exported some $6 billion worth of petrochemical exports in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 20, said the managing director of the National Petrochemical Company Abdolhossein Bayat in September.
Abdolhossein Bayat added that the figure is projected to exceed $15 billion by the end of the year, Tehran Times Daily reported on Sep.28.
Iran plans to increase petrochemical output by 5 million tons to 49 million tons in the current calendar year.
Last year, Iran exported 16.2 million tons of petrochemical products to 60 countries around the world.
