In January-October, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced over 6.88 million tons of oil on the country's offshore and onshore fields compared to over 7.03 million tons in January-October last year, SOCAR said.
According to the report, SOCAR produced 705,11 tons of oil in October compared to 711,24 tons in October 2011.
According to SOCAR, a total of 35.97 million tons of oil was produced in Azerbaijan in January-October 2012 compared to 39.17 million tons in January-October 2011. In particular in October 2012, the figure was 3.21 million tons compared to 3.66 million tons in October 2011.
More than 45.6 million tons of oil was produced in the country last year compared to 50.8 million tons in 2010. About 8.4 million tons of the total oil volume produced last year accounted for SOCAR compared to 8.46 million tons in 2010.
