National chamber: Kazakh part of major oil and gas projects is insufficient

The Kazakh part of major oil and gas projects is not enough, deputy chairman for innovative development and service projects at KazMunaiGas national company Magzum Mirzagaliev said at a regular meeting of the presidium of the Atameken National Economic Chamber.

The Kazakh part of major oil and gas projects is not enough, deputy chairman for innovative development and service projects at KazMunaiGas national company Magzum Mirzagaliev said at a regular meeting of the presidium of the Atameken National Economic Chamber.

"As of 2011, the share of local content in major oil and gas projects is as follows: the Tengiz project - 63 per cent, Karachaganak - 37.5 per cent and North-Caspian project - 27 per cent," Mirzagaliev said.

He said that the share of local content in the procurement of goods by these companies ranged from 1.2 to four per cent.
