As of December 11, 2012, the Batumi Oil Terminal transported 4.91 million tons of liquids, the terminal said on Tuesday.
'That is, the production target for 2012 has been implemented ahead of schedule', the report said. 'A0ccording to Batumi Oil Terminal management, the plan for oil transportation will be carried out at 107 per cent by late 2012'.
Batumi sea port has also exceeded the plan for 2012 and shown record results in the history of the port. At present, dry cargo turnover amounted to 1.531 million tons. According to the report, the expected annual transhipment volume will exceed the plan by two per cent.
"This has become possible due to the staff's professionalism," Abay Turikpenbaev, head of Batumi Industrial Holdings, said. "We ensured the achievement of such indices during this difficult period and in terms of increasing competition from other ports."
Batumi Industrial Holdings is a 100 per cent subsidiary of the KazTransOil Company.
Batumi Industrial Holdings includes Batumi Oil Terminal and Batumi Sea Port.
