Baku Higher School and Statoil-Azerbaijan have signed the protocol on cooperation today.

Protocol on cooperation envisages closer cooperation between Baku Higher School and Statoil-Azerbaijan, organization of visits of specialists from Baku Higher School to Norway and specialists from Norwegian higher education institutions to Baku Higher School, lecturers and trainings on various disciplines delivered by the highly qualified employees of Statoil-Azerbaijan for Baku Higher School's students.

The protocol creates the opportunities for the transfer of knowledge and technologies of Statoil-Azerbaijan to Baku Higher School, participation of Baku Higher School students and specialists in Statoil-Azerbaijan corporate events, supports with the improvement of qualification of specialists in Baku Higher School.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Norway in Azerbaijan Erling Skjonsberg who took part in this event said that protocol signed between Baku Higher School and Statoil-Azerbaijan embodies relations between Norway and Azerbaijan developed day after day and embassy is ready to fully support development and strengthening these relations.

Statoil-Azerbaijan president Lars Troen Sorensen said that this year Statoil celebrated its 20th anniversary in Azerbaijan. Through this cooperation Statoil will contribute in competence building in the oil and gas industry of Azerbaijan and will strengthen Azerbaijan's human resource base.

Baku Higher School rector Elmar Gasimov said that a protocol on cooperation is Baku Higher School's first step towards realisation of the goals, which are mainly the establishment of international cooperation. He added that there are many areas for this cooperation.
