According to the totals of 2012, SOCAR-AQŞ completed drilling and construction work on six wells versus planned five, a report released by the company on Thursday said.

"The annual plan was accordingly overfulfilled by 20 percent," the report says.

According to the report, last year the company drilled 19,547 meters against planned 17,500 meters.

SOCAR-AQS was founded on Dec.19, 2007. The company's shareholders are SOCAR with a 51 percent stake and Abseron Qazma with 49 percent.

The company works on drilling and construction of oil and gas wells in the Caspian Sea via three rigs located at two deep-water fixed platforms in Guneshli field. The drilling works are ordered by the Azneft Production Union of SOCAR and carried out on the Guneshli-11 and Guneshli-13 platforms.
