French company familiarizes Turkmen oil and gas industry employees with innovations

French Schneider Electric company has held a seminar for Turkmen oil and gas industry employees and state concerns, a report of the Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ministry which was an event co-organizer said on Saturday.

The company is engaged in providing modern equipment to enterprises in the local market, installing transformers sets, introducing innovative technologies.

A powerful 110 kV substation, equipped by Schneider Electric, was built in the northern part of Ashgabat in March 2012.

In September last year Ashgabat administration signed a major energy contract with the Turkish company Çalik Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., according to which Schneider Electric will operate as a subcontractor. The facilities are planned to be commissioned in December 2015.

According to the development strategy, the level of power generation is expected to reach 35.5 billion kilowatt / hour in Turkmenistan by 2030.
