KazTransOil announces production figures for 2012

KazTransOil reduced oil transportation through the oil trunk pipeline system by 1% to 53.46 million tons (excluding the indices of subsidiaries and jointly-controlled organizations) in 2012, the company said today.

According to the press-release, cargo turnover through KazTransOil's oil trunk pipeline system amounted to 34.53 billion tons/km, which is 3% less than in 2011.

Consumers in Atyrau and Mangistau regions were provided with Volga water by KazTransOil via Astrahan-Mangyshlak sluice at the amount of 22.8 million cubic meters, which is 8% more than in 2011.

The volume of oil supplied for processing at Kazakh refineries amounted to 13.98 million tons, or 6% more than in 2011.

The total volume of Russian oil supplies via Omsk-Pavlodar pipeline in 2012 dropped to 6 million tons, which is 8% less than in 2011.

"Russian oil transit supplies were not made to China through the Omsk-Pavlodar pipeline," a press release said.

"According to the "Information and Analytical Oil and Gas Centre", it should be stressed that the oil and gas condensate volume decreased to 79.2 million tons in Kazakhstan in 2012 compared to 2011 (or by 1.1% less than oil production in 2011)," the document said.

KazTransOil's net profit in 2012 decreased by 16% to 24.858 billion tenge ($ 1 - 150.6 tenge) (excluding the indices of subsidiaries and jointly controlled organizations), a statement said.

Profit obtained from KazTransOil's main activity (separately) hit 123.932 billion tenge, or 1% more than in 2011.

The consolidated audited financial accounting for 2012 will be published by April 1, 2013. KazTransOil expects financial result for 2012 to be better than the planned figure than the index in late 2011.

KazTransOil is KazMunaiGas national company's subsidiary. It is the largest Kazakh oil transportation company. It has a diversified network of oil pipelines and water lines with a total length of about 8,000 km. The company transports about 59% of the total volume of oil extracted in the country for export and the domestic market.
