Kazakh KazTransOil increases profit in 2012

The Kazakh KazTransOil Company increased its net profit by 29.1 per cent in 2012 compared to 2011, the company said today.

"The consolidated net profit amounted to 33.501 billion tenge which is 30 per cent more than the plan and 29.1 per cent more than in 2011," a company spokesperson said.

The consolidated income obtained from the main activity as of 2012 amounted to 143.061 billion tenge which is 4.8 per cent more than the plan and 1.8 per cent more than the results of 2011.

A consolidated volume of transportation and transhipment of oil and oil products through KazTransOil as of 2012 amounted to 65.795 million tons which is 2.8 per cent more than the plan.

The company's consolidated cargo turnover in 2012 amounted to 42.163 billion tons.

KazTransOil is KazMunaiGas national company's subsidiary. It is the largest Kazakh oil transportation company. It has a diversified network of oil and water pipelines running to a total length of about 8000 km. The company transports about 59 per cent of the total volume of oil extracted in the country for export and the domestic market.
